WE CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT
We strongly believe that tourism should support the sustainability of our natural resources. To advance this, we do not offer travel experiences that harm the natural world, animals or cause human-wildlife conflicts.
WE PRIORITIZE THE FOLLOWING MEASURES TO CONSERVE OUR ENVIRONMENT:
1. Operations in our office:
Our office operates on a circularity policy, which promotes resource reuse, recycling, and reducing our negative impact on the environment in all means possible. These include and not limited to:
a. Maximizing on paperless transactions to save on printing paper.
b. Powering off all energy-using electronics when not in use.
c. Efficient lighting and maximum utilization of natural light.
d. Utilization of recycled paper for printing needs.
f. Use of waste segregation bins.
g. Use of Eco-friendly items and stationery.
2. Our tour planning
Our tours are designed with ecological sustainability in mind. We strive to reduce the ecological footprint of our travelers through a reduction in the number of vehicles, plastic pollution, and promoting travel experience that promotes a culture of environmental stewardship. These include the introduction of bird-watching, walking, swimming, hiking, and trekking safaris. We are also working on a mobile application that will help our travelers monitor their carbon footprints and adjust where necessary.
3. Community-based Conservation and Advocacy Programs
We condemn any form of wild animal trade, illegal hunting, poaching, and cruelty to wildlife. All our travelers are advised that we do not admit single-use plastics and offer reusable water bottles for all your water needs while on safari. To encourage environmental stewardship, especially by the young generation, we have partnered with the Kenyan Youth Biodiversity Network to help support their policy advocacy, ocean conservation, and awareness programs. All we ask for is a donation of any amount with each booking. Thank you.
